Bad Bunny attracts youthful fans and avid sports fans for his forthcoming appearance at the 2026 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. That is the trend the NFL will embrace, emanating from the Puerto Rican star’s selection to follow Rihanna (2023), Usher (2024), and Kendrick Lamar (2025) as the Super Bowl intermission talent.
The proposition “I am looking forward to the Bad Bunny Halftime show at the 2026 Apple Music Super Bowl” ignites a passionate response with nearly 1 in 3 Americans (32%) looking forward to the appearance of the 31-year-old three-time Grammy Award-winning star, dubbed the “King of Latin Trap.” The interest rises to a peak among nearly 1 in 2 avid fans (47%) and 4 in 9 young adults (44%, 18-34). “Despite the challenges of a highly polarized public, the NFL continues to expand its international reach, combined with the cultural influence of artists like Bad Bunny,” said Daniel Ladik, Ph.D., Methodologist of the Seton Hall Sports Poll and Associate Marketing Professor in the Stillman School of Business. “This means the Super Bowl is bound to again achieve a high viewing audience. The NFL continues its bet on international stars and the grooming of an international audience.”
These results are derived from a Seton Hall Sports Poll conducted October 3rd-6th among 1,519 adults. The Poll, which is sponsored by The Sharkey Institute within Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business, features a national representative sample from YouGov Plc., weighted on U.S. Census Bureau figures for age, gender, ethnicity, education, income and geography with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percent.
Bad Bunny’s Only American Performance
As a result of Bad Bunny’s decision not to stop in the United States during his 2025-2026 tour due to the recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and activities, the Super Bowl will mark his only performance in the United States. Bad Bunny is actually returning to the Super Bowl halftime show. In 2020, he made a guest appearance in Miami at the Super Bowl LIV halftime, which was headlined by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
The NFL continues to schedule and actively promote regular-season games in international markets, including London, Berlin, and Madrid. A return to Mexico City and multiple games planned in Brazil indicate an extension of the strategy into Central and South America. The synergy reflects the league’s cultivation of the international market.
