Your information is inaccurate Monsignor Callery was the only pastor who helped designed the church in 1939 and the church was completed and the doors opened in 1941 .Callery was at the church dedication on May 18, 1941 with not one but two bishops present as Callery was made monsignor. All of which i can prove.
There was some controversy on which pastor of Good Counsel Parish was the actual architect of Good Counsel’s existing church…….It seems in 1939, Father Thomas Callery pastor, was the motivator of the building of the existing Good Counsel Church. however, he passed away before the actual door that opened the church in 1943? Father Walter Henessey then took the reigns for the actual completion………..Any historical facts are always welcome…..Rich Connell
