The fringe sketch in the link above shows how synthetic biology will advance and correlate with government and business, science and medicine, society, and the world. Sometimes these advancements contribute to more than one category for example reintroduction of extinct species would be connected both the science and world categories because the we would be using preserved DNA to replicate the species something humanity has not yet achieved and the world as those species can help restore the original ecosystem. Some of the advancements will lead to society having more disadvantages than it did before. For example biometric tracking will become more relevant and will it easier for governments to track its citizens. Humanitarian aid while a positive is also based on the will of the government to actually give humanitarian aid with the new technology they have.
