According to The Washington Post, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland stated that the Canadian government “will never apologize” for doing what they can to vaccinate Canadians alongside the rest of the world.

The United States Withdraws from the Paris Climate Agreement

The United States officially left the Paris Climate Agreement on November 4, according to The Associated Press. The pact was established five years ago to combat the dangerous threat of climate change. The New York Times reports that President Trump first announced his plan to withdraw from the agreement in 2017. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo then filed for the withdrawal on November 4, 2019.

The World Food Programme  recently won the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize for its contributions in combating global food insecurity, writes Al Jazeera. Berit Reiss-Andersen, the chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, said “In the face of the pandemic, the World Food Programme has demonstrated an impressive ability to intensify its efforts,” according to The New York Times.
