Meeting Notes 1/24 DULCE Meeting
- Discussed the IGTV initiative in tandem with the Global Current and the process of creating the regular pieces and transitioning them into a podcast out of WSOU.
- DULCE will be involved now but hopes to be hands off in the future.
- There are about 6 students who are interested, hoping to have about 15 eventually.
- There is an international law panel in the works in tandem with Dr. Miller
- Workshop style interacting with the Pre-Law fraternity as well as Dr. Mormon and a third law school panelist.
- Late March/early April for a date TBD.
- Also, DULCE hopes to involve the International Law Society and a Law School advisor.
- Student Ambassadors one on one meetings with students are being planned as well as a recruitment tool and way to build contact between potential students and the Diplomacy School.
- Potential students will be paired with SHU students who have similar interests to get a personal connection.
- A list could be created as well with a list of different contacts and only to be used on a need basis.
- Microsoft Teams are also being utilized during Open House, another option as well.
- DULCE can also work with recruiters to give them the information on involved students.
- UDSA was discussed and the overlapping initiatives found between them and DULCE.
- They are distinctive however, and DULCE should work to incorporate more graduate students into the fold.
- Mark is going to work on reaching out to the grad students in order to build up that relationship and invite everyone to meetings.
- Students also discussed the knowledge gap on what DULCE is and want to work on outreach so the student body is aware that anyone may attend meetings.
