The prevailing suggestion within international relations to resolve the Israeli-Palestine conflict is a two-state solution that would see Palestine and Israel divided into two independent states. However, two-state solutions from the powers which denied Palestine statehood fall short when they fail to recognize the theft of the Palestinian homeland and the continued violence ravaging Palestinian communities.

Israel stands tall on the international stage with its success in vaccination distribution, while Palestinians under Israeli occupation await access to vaccines. According to Al Jazeera, “[Israel] has already supplied vaccine doses to more than half of its 9.3 million people in just less than two months, making it the world leader in the vaccination drive to inoculate populations.” However, recently, Israel has been criticized for shipping vaccines overseas as Palestinians remain unvaccinated.

UAE-Israel Peace Deal Normalizes Relations

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on August 27 that Israel and the UAE would be normalizing relations after decades of tension. Reuters reports that the UAE and Israel first announced the move to normalize relations on August 13, but did not agree on a deal at that time. This deal is the result of Trump’s broader attempts at peace in the Middle East.
