Contemplative Community Week: Monday, March 28

Guided Meditation for ClassesOn Monday, March 28 and Tuesday, March 29, members of the Community of St. John are available to lead a brief Christian meditation at the beginning of classes. 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Mindfulness, Spirituality, and Mental Health: A Conversation with Dr. Gregory BottaroLocation: Jubilee Hall Auditorium and YouTube Livestream (https://youtu.be/-puTKQLeqXYMindfulness practices like meditation and gratitude have helped many people to manage their anxiety and improve their mental health. However, spiritually-minded people might wonder how compatible mindfulness practices are with their own religious traditions. In this conversation, Dr. Gregory Bottaro will share what current research and his experience as a Catholic psychologist can tell us about how these various practices promote well-being and how mindfulness relates to Christian beliefs and practices. The discussion will be followed by time for Q&A. Come early to enjoy complimentary refreshments.
