I visited Fudan University Library in Shanghai in June and July, 2017. It has 400,000 thread bound ancient Chinese books (among which are 60,000 volumes of rare ancient books), and 100,000 volumes books of the Republic of China period. It is a leading academic library in digitizing and preserving ancient Chinese books.
