The nationally ranked Seton Hall men’s soccer team clenched their spot in the Big East Finals Thursday afternoon in a strong performance against conference rival Marquette. In celebration of their first birth in the Big East Tournament since 2012, the Pirates netted 4 goals, outscoring the lone point by the Golden Eagles. Top-seeded Georgetown hosted the game in DC, and the Pirates take on the Hoyas Saturday afternoon in the final. With the match being held at a neutral territory, Twitter was a great resource for fans to keep up with all the action:

It canโt be understated the job Riihijarviโs done in midfield today.
An unsung hero of the season. He just wins his midfield battles and really allows his offensive teammates the freedom to take up positions further up the field to do damage.

SHU just beat Marquette 4-1 in the Big East Tournament semis. That should lock up the programโs first NCAA Tourney bid since 2005.
