The 2019 season was the best in the history of Monmouth University Hawks football program. The 2019 squad was the program’s first to reach the top 20 in the FCS and won not only its first Big South Conference Championship, but also its first FCS Playoff Game. It was historic for the Hawks. I spoke remotely with senior defensive lineman Russ Davidson about the program’s momentous 2019 run and what the team hopes to find this upcoming fall.
