University of Utah Health Sciences Administrative Fellowship

Greetings from the University of Utah Health Sciences,

I would like to share an exciting fellowship opportunity that I hope you will share with your students. Thank you in advance for your time and energy.

University of Utah Health Sciences (UUHS) offers a one-year administrative fellowship to begin in Spring 2017. This fellowship is designed to cultivate leaders in the field of academic health care by allowing the fellow to foster close working relationships with senior Health Sciences and Hospital executives while exposing the fellow to a diverse array of operational activities, academic departments, and high-level strategic goals.

UUHS is an integrated academic health care system that includes University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, University of Utah Medical Group, and University of Utah Health Plans. It encompasses academic entities including the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry and the Colleges of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Health. UUHS also facilitates extensive research related to the health sciences. This diverse array of schools and departments provides unique experiences and increased understanding of health care.

Fellows participate in meetings, rotations, and develop projects in each area with executives from the Office of the Senior Vice President. Areas of opportunity for project work include strategic planning, health policy research, finance, population health, marketing and public affairs, development, quality improvement, performance analysis, compliance, clinical operations, and employee relations.
