Akullo Evelyn Otwili is the Documentation Team Leader at the Justice and Reconciliation Project. She specializes in Community-Centred Transitional Justice and Reconciliation with a focus on research and documentation of gross human rights violations such as massacres, maims and torture. Since 2007, Evelyn has participated and led research on major massacres in northern Uganda. She has also conducted research on other conflict experiences such as sexual violence, torture as well as local remedies for redress in post-conflict northern Uganda. She was among the pool researchers for the Forgiveness and Peace Building Research in Uganda. Evelyn is also currently a Master’s student in Organizational Leadership and Management at Uganda Christian University.
