On April 16th, Prachi Makkar, Leadership Class of 2017, was awarded the Future Female Leader Award at the Indian Consulate in New York. The award was presented to her by the consul general, Dnyaneshwar Mulay at the Annual Vaisakhi Celebration. The attendees of this event consisted of very influential Indian people such as CEOs and politicians.

The Future Female Leader award is given to young women who display leadership qualities. It is given to young women because of their academics, service to society, leadership, and accomplishments.

Prachi Makkar is heavily involved in her community and is known for teaching SAT and singing classes to children. She was very honored to have received this award. 

The Leadership Development Honors Program congratulates Prachi on her magnificent achievement! She not only exemplifies herself as a great team member, but also a servant leader.
