Your presentation was very informative and mentioning the need for these safety features aligns with the growing need for changes within society. Highlighting how 1 in 3 cases of child abuse/neglect are reported to authorities further showcases how technology can be utilized for the greater good as opposed to independent happiness. Hearing you talk about both the advantages and challenges of smart benches allows the audience a chance to weigh them appropriately. This poster showed inventions that could have a large impact on society and safety. At the same time it holds the potential to be devastating invading others privacy and causing more investigations than warranted.

I thought this was a really interesting presentation! I had never heard of smart benches prior to watching this. I think this is a really clever concept. My first thought after watching your presentation was how could this also benefit the houseless population. You did a great job laying out how a potentially abused or neglected child could utilize this resource, but I could definitely see the potential to help the houseless population as well.
