BOOM!: Burnham No-Hits The Hoyas, Pirates Win, 2-0

Burnham – who finished with 128 pitches – tossed the program’s first solo no-hitter since Zach Prendergast against Villanova on May 14, 2017. Seton Hall (19-15, 12-3 BIG EAST) now has five no-no’s in school history.

Tyler Burnham earned a win on the mound in Seton Hall’s last game. Burnham would go on to strike out five of the next seven batters he faced in the third and fourth innings before the Seton Hall offense provided some run support.

Despite a walk with two outs in the fifth, Burnham continued to cruise as he recorded two more punchouts in the sixth and retired the side in order in the seventh.

Pirates scored there two runs by RBI single and one double from Jerry Huntzinger and Jonathan Luders.

He ended with 14 strikeouts with 9 innings pitched and only walked 4 people but still held the Hoyas to 0 runs. Seton Hall will next hit the road to face Xavier for a four-game series that will run from May 7-9.
