Hype for Halftime Show

Who would have ever guessed that artists Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi would perform at a halftime show together? No one, which is why people are excited to see how this show will play out.

At least three artists declined the offer to perform at the halftime show in October. These artists included Rihanna, P!nk and Cardi B. Rihanna declined the offer in support for Colin Kaepernick’s movement.

For the last two years Kaepernick has been protesting the NFL for awareness of racial and social inequality.

Travis Scott released ASTROWORLD, his third studio album, in August. His songs are still hot on the charts, making his appearance popular.

Big Boi will be appearing tonight in the halftime show in honor of the Superbowl taking place in Atlanta, Georgia which is where the artist is from.

A misconception people have is that the artists who perform at the halftime show get paid a decent amount, however that is not the case. According to league spokesperson Joanna Hunter, the NFL only covers “all expenses and production costs” and not  the artists’ wages.

Usually after the halftime show, artists who perform get a spike in endorsements and record sales following the performance.
