Born in Jerusalem in 1954, David Grossman is an internationally acclaimed Israeli novelist. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theatre at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, 1979. His works have been translated into over 30 languages. He is married to Michal Grossman, a child psychologist. They live together in Mevasseret, Zion, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, with their three children, Yonatan, Ruthi, and Uri.
