Crafting Successful Writing Prompts – Part I
Thursday, April 18, 3:30 – 4:30pm in Teams
Led by Dr. Aruna Sanyal, Director, University Writing Center
The first step toward getting student writing that fulfills (or even exceeds) the assignment objective, the first step is the assignment prompt itself. How can you provide guidelines for your writing assignments that actually lead to the kinds of papers you’re hoping to get? In this CFD workshop, we’ll discuss the do’s and don’ts of writing prompts and look at sample assignments provided by faculty colleagues to consider their strengths as well as the ways they might be improved.
