A half-day conference to raise awareness about environmental racism and community gardening.
This half-day conference will bring together members of the university community and communities in the greater Newark area to learn about environmental racism, food insecurity, and the potential of community gardening. Speakers will include representatives of local community groups, such as STEAM Urban and Newarkâs Office of Sustainability.
Light breakfast and sign in will be available at 8:30a.m.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
