A CFD Conversation: AI Literacy 3

Two years after the emergence of ChatGPT, it’s becoming even more imperative that, as faculty, we understand the issues related to AI, the emerging trends, and the strategies we can use in our classes. Join us on Friday, Jan. 17, 12:00 – 1:30, in Teams, for an open discussion, informed by input from members of the SHU community, around the following questions:

Will you be teaching students about AI use in your classes? If so, when and how. If not, why not?

AI ethics—what do we mean by this broad phrase? What does it mean for your teaching and even your research?

What challenges have you been encountering and how are you addressing them?

Do you use AI in your work, whether day-to-day or for your research?

AI Policies—what are you doing?

How are you managing class to class differences, even within your discipline?

Has your approach to AI evolved over the past year? If so, how?

There will be plenty of time for Q&A, as well as a chance to propose forthcoming CFD workshops, sessions, and speakers on these and related topics.

Join in Teams.
