CFD Event: Getting Grants-How to Get Paid for Your Research Ideas

This seminar will focus on all steps of the grant seeking and application process. We will discuss the types of grants available, including Federal, state, corporate and foundation and how to begin the application process. Resources for identifying potential sponsors, including databases and SHU offices will be described. The proposal preparation process, including getting and refining an idea, identifying potential sponsors, preparing the proposal and getting the proposal approved for submission will be discussed. Regulations pertaining to grants including use of human and animal subjects, budgeting, procurement, intellectual property and uniform guidance will be introduced.
