The 4th Annual PirateThon Raises Over $8,900 for the Valerie Fund

On March 12th the Gerald P. Buccino ’63 Center for Leadership Development hosted its 4th annual 12 hour dance marathon, PirateThon for The Valerie Fund, a local non-profit that supports children with cancer and blood disorders. With the generosity of council members and students, the team raised $3,110.00. With the support of various student organizations, sponsors and donors, PirateThon as whole raised over $8,900 for the children of The Valerie Fund!

Students participated in various roles in Community Outreach, Donor & Alumni Relations, Entertainment, Servant Leadership and Volunteer Management. Together they arranged an exciting celebratory PirateThon event for over 200 students. The event included live entertainment, games, an athlete fashion show, blackout hour, karaoke, raffles every hour and more!
