Three Minute Leadership: Inspired in the Face of the Impossible

To: The Great Leaders Who Have a Passion for Continuous Learning

In an episode of the Grey’s Anatomy TV show, the character Isaac, in the face of asking a surgeon to operate on a seemingly inoperable tumor, says: “… there is always a way when things look like there’s no way. There’s a way to do the impossible, to survive the unsurvivable. There’s always a way. And … you and I have this in common. We’re inspired. In the face of the impossible, we’re inspired. So if I can offer one piece of advice … today, if you become frightened, instead become inspired.

As we have said so many times before, there is no such thing as impossible. Lou Holtz reminds us: “Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it, and maintain a positive attitude.” Everything is possible because of the very fact that each and every one of us is possible. Learn from Isaac’s wisdom. Be inspired by your fears and challenges. Let them serve you in discovering the undreamed of possibilities within you. As Jean de la Fontaine wrote: “Man is so made that when anything fires his soul, impossibilities vanish.” Let your fears and challenges set you on fire, and change the world.

Have a beautiful day and a magnificent week!!!
