CORRELATION between InTASC and DANIELSON FRAMEWORK FOR TEACHING 

The Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Standards are a critical component to teaching and learning.  In NJ, close to 70% of school districts use Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching as their teacher evaluation platform.  As CEHS works to align and revise the curriculum, it is useful to understand and see the connections between the InTASC Standards and Danielson’s Framework.

BLUE RIBBON PANEL REPORT – 2010

Study QuoteIn 2010, NCATE published a report titled, Transforming Teacher Education through Clinical Practice: A National Strategy to Prepare Effective Teachers; Report of the Blue Ribbon Panel on Clinical Preparation and Partnerships for Improved Student Learning.  This report focused on how to improve and change the clinical teaching experience for teacher preparation candidates; how to improve the partnership between the college and university programs and school districts; evaluating teacher preparation candidates upon completion of the program to assess ability to meet learner needs; and changing accreditation standards to better prepare teacher candidates for teaching to diverse learners in the 21st century.
