As 2024 comes to an end and the fashion week season ending, this gives consumers a glimpse into the fashion patterns and trends that are expected in 2025. AI and computer analysis systems are used to create fashion predictions for the next year. Heuritech is a forecasting company that utilizes image recognition to detect upcoming trends.
Consumers and analysts have observed the increased suede in all recent spring/summer 2025 fashion shows. The bohemian chic aesthetic is expected to increase alongside the suede. Consumers can expect suede matching sets, blazers, and bags such as the Chloe Silverado bag. Other general bohemian pieces that will be seen are ruffles, hats, and vests.
Continuing with the boho vibes, there is an expectation of growing neutral earthy colors for clothing. Dusty pinks and earthy neutrals are expected to be popular, especially sage. Sage is going to make its way through office looks in blazers and even into sportswear. Other colors that are expected to grow in popularity are yellows and turquoise in the summer for an aquatic theme. Many designers will focus on turquoise in the summer for the details of the ocean and the sailor-style outfits with vests and navy blue tops. Bright colored overcoats, jackets, and trenches will also be fashionable in the upcoming year. The colors of green, yellow, and pink are expected to be popular in the architecture industry too with colorful bathrooms and accents into kitchens.
Bubble hemlines and skirts have been seen this year, and people have lots of mixed feelings on the re-trending 2010s fashion style. Bubble skirts, bubble dresses, and ruffle skirts are expected to increase in popularity with brands like Simone Rocha, Maison Margiela, and Cult Gaia. Other 2010 styles that are expected to make comebacks are flipflop sandals, strapless dresses, and symmetric sets.
Animal prints from the start of this year’s mob wife trend is expected to continue well through the summer of next year. There was a strong animal print presence in many fashion collections like Versace and Givenchy. Designers are trying to also amplify the presence of zebra print, leopard print, snakeskin, and cowhide. Rihanna and Kendall Jenner have endorsed the zebra print aesthetic to embody and promote the western aesthetic.
Sports style and wear has been an increasing trend for the past couple years, and it will still be a trend that designers focus on. Fashion has been influenced by sporting events such as the Olympics and Wimbledon. Sports aesthetics allow for cultural connection to various parts of the world. Striped rugby shirts are going to be popular, as they were abundantly observed at the Copenhagen Fashion Week and can be worn in mixed aesthetics to mix academic, vacation, retro, and sportswear vibes.
The 2025 fashion industry is hard to predict due to the new economic uncertainties, consumer shifts, rise in fashion dupes, and the effects of climate change. The industry is expected to have a sluggish growth rate, similar to 2024. Executives and brands are expected to largen their price ranges to attract shoppers. However, computer analysis systems have been used to predict the upcoming fashion trends of the new year and only time will tell which trends become consumer hits or misses.
