Exploring the Minor in Legal Studies: A Gateway for Business Students at Seton Hall

Seton Hall University’s Minor in Legal Studies in Business offers students a great opportunity to master the legal frameworks that can be found and applied in today’s dynamic business environment. Offered by the Seton Hall’s Stillman School of Business, this program gives students the chance to develop with exposure to analytical tools, ethical reasoning, and legal insight. The requirements for this minor include completing just 15 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75. High-achieving students with a 3.50 GPA in both overall and minor coursework are eligible for induction into the distinguished Legal Studies Honor Society.

The core curriculum introduces foundational courses, including Legal Foundations of Business (BLAW 2301), Law, Ethics, and Public Policy (BLAW 4325), and Advanced Topics in Legal Studies (BLAW 4310). These courses provide a deep understanding of the more foundational studies that are practice in law. Elective courses, ranging from Corporate Governance to Sport Law and Disruptive Technology and Law, allow students to customize this minor concentration to suit their interests.
