About

We are Seton Hall University’s award winning competitive model UN team! A group of students of all majors that unite over a passion for creative debate and critical thinking. While we do some General Assembly styled Model UN, SHUNA is primarily a Crisis Model UN team. Meaning we focus specifically and train for crisis styled conferences, which unlike GA committees, focuses on fast thinking, much faster debate, and a lot of creative thinking.

As a team we have awarded heavily over the years and have attended conferences all over the nation and even Canada. In the last few years we have attended CIAC (Cornell), PUNC (Penn State), NYUMUNC (NYU), BARMUN (Boston University) and much more. While attending we have even gone on to win numerous awards, most recently we awarded best large delegation PUNC ’18 and best small delegation CIAC ’16 as well as having awarded numerous best & outstanding delegate awards.

As a team we strive to continually improve ourselves and to train all our new members, we never say no to anyone who wants to join the team we believe that with training everyone has the potential to be a great delegate. We do this with our weekly Sunday training’s where we run a mock conference committee on a variety of topics to best prepare all our delegates to perform their best.
