You’ve decided to join the Seton Hall Family, you’ve met your dean(s), you’re in a University Life course, what more do you need to do? Transitioning to college is a lot, for anyone, we’ve compiled some information, tips, tricks, and quick contacts that can help support your journey to academic success!

 

Academic Resource Center (ARC)

The Ruth Sharkey Academic Resource Center, commonly referred to as the “ARC”, is Seton Hall’s premier academic support center. Whether you are a first semester freshman or a grad student, we do our best to provide you with as much academic support and guidance as possible. Our services are designed to help you excel during your time at the University by helping you develop and enhance the necessary skills to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom!

Here are some helpful tips for you to think about as you transition into college life:

To meet you where you are, are services are available to you year-round in-person and online! In person, we are primarily located in Arts & Science Hall on the second floor in room 242. To make an appointment or view our drop-in schedule, simply log into your Compass profile. These services are free to all Seton Hall students and available to you as soon as the academic year begins!

University Library Support

Have you checked out the University Library’s website yet? If not, you’re missing out! Our Library is host to over 1.6+ million titles, and has a team of Librarians who are here to assist you in everything from research, to content based materials, to navigating inter-collegiate library loans. The University Library is not just a place for reading and researching, there are study rooms open for students to utilize, resource guides available online, citation tools, and other services to help support your intellectual discovery and development.
