Alyssa Housley presents research on concussions and impulsivity at Eastern Psychological Association.

Alyssa Housley presented our poster “Do concussions make college students more impulsive? Neurocognitive impacts of brain injury” at the March 2025 Eastern Psychological Association conference in New York, NY. The poster, presenting preliminary results from Rachel Gerrie’s honor’s thesis, examines how concussions impact impulsivity and decision-making. Using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), the project investigates prefrontal cortical activity during decision-making. Congratulations to Alyssa for presenting at her first EPA and to Rachel Gerrie for leading this research project.
