The ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Systems, Programming, Languages and Applications: Software for Humanity (SPLASH) , held in Pasadena, California in October, had a definite SHU feel. Tijana Minic (CS undergrad) and Oliwia Kempinski (class of 2024, current Ph.D. student at University of Maryland) presented their work, under the direction of Dr. Marco Morazan, on visualizing composed Turing machines. In addition, Minić and Andrés Maldonado (CS undergrad) presented their work, also under the direction of Dr. Morazan, on visualizing grammar derivations at the ACM Student Research Competition, also at SPLASH 2024.
The ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Systems, Programming, Languages and Applications: Software for Humanity (SPLASH) embraces all aspects of software construction and delivery, to make it the premier conference on the applications of programming languages – at the intersection of programming languages and software engineering.
