Locus Papers read in 42 countries worldwide in May 2020

According to data collected by the University Libraries, in May 2020 Locus had 208 full-text downloads in 42 countries around the world! The countries with the most downloads include the U.S. (104 across the country), India (14 downloads), Sweden (13), the United Kingdom (10), and Malaysia (9).

According to the SHU E-Repository/Digital Commons, the most downloaded papers were:  The Relationship Between Internet Addiction and Mental Health Conditions The Media’s Portrayal of Mental Illness and Its Treatment: An Analysis of the Existing Literature from a Social Work Perspective , and Queer Assimilation .

Update: Locus 2020 Submissions Review

Thank you to everyone who submitted work for the Locus 2020 Issue! We are appreciative of the quantity and quality of the works we received. The Locus Editorial Committee recently met to review and discuss submissions and we are pleased to announce that we will reach out to authors soon with feedback and decisions. We are no longer taking any submissions, but start planning for next year’s issue!

Publish your paper in Locus!

The deadline for submission for Locus Journal Volume 3 (Fall 2020) has been extended to May 15th, 2020.

 

Read the most current call for submissions for Vol 3.

Editorial inquiries may be directed by prospective authors to the relevant  faculty or student editor  corresponding to the author’s major or the proposed publication’s discipline. Submission is by email to the relevant editorial committee member.

Update for the Fall 2019 Issue

Acceptances for the papers were sent and we have recently received revisions on such papers. The Editorial Board will review the submissions once more to finalize what will be published. We expect to have the second volume out by October 2019. If you have any questions reach out via email to the faculty or student advisor in your area of inquiry.

Locus Submissions for Fall 2019 Currently Under Review

A quick update: The Editorial committee for Locus has met and reviewed submissions for our fall 2019 issue. We will be responding to authors soon with feedback and decisions. Student scholarship read in 63 institutions, 45 countries since launch

According to data collected by the University Libraries, student publications in Volume 1 of Locus have been “downloaded 404 times, and read at 63 Institutions, 45 countries since October launch” with the top three downloads from the US (279), China (16) and the United Kingdom (15). Locus Journal now online!

Since the launching of Locus Journal last Friday, October 19, 2018  student articles are already being read all over the globe. Lisa Deluca of the University Libraries shared the readership data below:
