“In Celebration of Locus’ 8th edition and 70,000 Downloads!”

Shortly before yesterday’s publication of our eighth volume of the Locus, and the journal’s eighth anniversary, the total downloads for all editions of Locus have surpassed 70,000! Thank you to all our authors for their hard work in penning and refining their specialized insights into valuable contributions in interdisciplinary research, all our editors who have and continue to foster academic excelled in publication, and to all our readers who continue to propel Locus along our mission to make bright ideas accessible across wider audiences.

For a small snapshot of our download data, most of our readership comes from North America and Asia. As of October 13th, 2025, our ~70,000 downloads came from 4,031 institutions, of which the majority (63%) are educational.

Thank you again to all members of the Locus community. Go check out our newly published 8th edition of Locus, featuring seven papers from amazing undergraduate scholars in psychology, diplomacy, English, and much more!
