May 2016: Kappa Delta Pi Induction

KAPPA DELTA PI INDUCTION

On Sunday, April 17, 2016, three higher education graduate students were inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Xi Gamma Chapter: Marianne J. Brosnan, Holly Ehrens, and Brittany K. White. Sarah A. Andrews was recipient of the Honor Stole, awarded to graduate members who have completed optional service to the chapter, the profession, and the community at large. Dr. Grace May, Dean of College of Education and Human Services, was also installed as honorary Xi Gamma member for her years of dedication to the chapter.

KDP International Honor Society in Education, founded by Dr. William Bagley in 1911 at the University of Illinois, was established to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. Kappa Delta Pi grew from a local chapter to the international organization it is today, comprising of 600 chapters and more than 40,000 members. Through its programs, services, and products, KDP supports and enhances the professional growth and teaching practices of its member educators throughout the phases and levels of their careers in education.
