The Programme Manager is a key role within the programme and is at the centre of a diverse range of activities. The Manager assists the Head in the overall management of the Centre and for the coordination of all project related activities, and is responsible for the smooth running of the Centre in the Head’s absence. He/she is responsible for administering the financial and contractual arrangements at Centre and project level. He/she is expected to input in to the research outreach strategy of the Centre.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized and able to manage a team. They will have some or all the following skills and capabilities:
- Experience and good track record in drafting successful grant proposal applications
- Proven performance in programme management and fund-raising
- Understanding of political science and foreign affairs through documented training or practical experience
- Proven track record in preparing documents for publication
