The U.S. Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is seeking applications for research and evaluation related to childhood exposure to violence. NIJ is specifically interested in proposals that address polyvictimization, harassment via electronic media, resilience and risk factors or justice system response to children exposed to various types of violence. Grants typically do not exceed $500,000, through total funding for some multiyear projects has been over $1 million. The maximum project period is three years. Applications are due May 20, 2013.
