Harvard University’s Schlesinger Library offers several grants to promote research of the history of women in America:

  • Research support grants offer up to $3,000 to support scholars whose work requires use of the library’s collections. Applicants must have a doctoral degree or equivalent research and writing experience.
  • Dissertation grants offer up to $3,000 for scholars whose dissertation work requires use of the library’s resources. Applicants must have advanced to candidacy in a doctoral program from any college or university in a relevant field and have an approved dissertation topic.
  • Oral history grants provide up to $3,000 to support scholars conducting oral history interviews relevant to the history of women or gender in the United States.
