The National Institutes of Health (NIH) seeks to fund research projects that analyze and address ethical challenges and issues that arise from biomedical, clinical, social and behavioral research. There are seven high priority topics for consideration, which are as follows:

  • Ethical Considerations of New and Emerging Biomedical Technologies
  • Research Study & Design Issues
  • Issues Associated With Therapeutic Misconception and the Interface Between Treatment and Research
  • Research Involving Vulnerable Populations & Urgent Situations
  • Research With Existing Specimens, Data & Health Information
  • Dissemination & Translation of Research Findings
  • Oversight of Research

Award sizes are not limited, but budgets should reflect the actual needs of the project. The maximum project period is five years. Applications are due February 5, June 5 and October 5 annually. For more information, see the link below:
