Farmingdale State College seeks to hire a full-time Academic Advisor who will advise and serve Farmingdale students as a professional staff member in the college’s Research Aligned Mentorship Program (RAM). The RAM program at Farmingdale State College is an extremely prestigious program founded by a US Department of Education initiative to support minority, low- income and first-generation students to embolden them with a passion for research and applied learning as a means to keep them on track through their college careers. The RAM Program currently has over 800 RAM student scholars benefiting from additional advisement, coursework, and special workshops and events. RAM student scholars are paired with a faculty mentor or off-campus supervisor to engage in hands-on research, internship, or project-based learning experience. The RAM counselor will work closely with the 5 members of the RAM staff and will collaborate with administrators, faculty, staff, and offices across the College.
