Guadalupe Aguilar along with Suhawani Prakash attended the 2025 Immigrant Integration Convening that was hosted by the Center of Migration Studies in Fordham University. During the three-day convening Guadalupe participated in a site visit to the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church that she learned has a long and established history of providing immigration services in New York City, notably [helping with naturalization, providing scholarships for DACA recipients, helping in obtaining benefits for low income individuals]. The convening brought together various organizations and professionals who are currently actively involved in current immigration issues. The convening also allowed the students at the end of the convention to discuss ideas and actions they wish to accomplish with the knowledge they have obtained during the convening. Along with Guadalupe and Suhawani, both Anthropology majors from Seton Hall, Christopher Benitez-Cuartas who is a Sociology major also attended.
