The upcoming “Trip of the Week(ender)” is a visit to the Brooklyn Museum for Target First Saturdays November 3.
The first Saturday of every month, Target stores offer special programs at the Museum. For twenty years, Target First Saturdays have been the freshest place to kick off the month. Join us for engaging and eclectic free art and entertainment every month (except September), 5–11 pm. Some Target First Saturday programs take place in more intimate locations, so you’ll need a ticket. Lines often form one hour before ticket distribution at our Admissions Desk.
- Wear comfortable shoes, there is a lot of walking in the city!
- Take friends, it’s safer and more fun with a few people.
- Get a MetroCard at New York Penn Station for your round trip subway fares.
- Make note of the last trains back to South Orange: Morris / Essex line.
The museum is very easy to get to with public transportation, though it takes a while longer to get out to Brooklyn. Take the NJ Transit train at the South Orange train station to New York Penn Station just five stops away. From right inside Penn, take the 2/3 subway downtown to the Eastern Parkway stop. The museum will be right in front of you.
If you want to drive in, parking in the museum lot is $6.
