CONGRATULATIONS!

Katherine Aquino, doctoral candidate, was selected to attend the 2016 National Center for Education Statistics Data Institute: Using IPEDS, Sample Surveys, and Federal Datasets to Support Research on Postsecondary Education to be held June 20-22 in Washington, DC.

Monica Burnette, doctoral student, has been promoted to the Director of Projects & Planning in the Division of Student Services at Seton Hall. Monica will continue to supervise the Academic Resource Center and provide direction and support to the Upward Bound Program. In this role, she will supervise divisional budget planning, outcomes assessments, professional development projects, and special retention and completion initiatives.

Stephen R. Deutsch, alumnus, had his dissertation research recently quoted in a Huffington Post blog.

Dr. Kelchen appeared on PBS’s nationally-broadcast Point Taken show to discuss whether a college education is worth the price tag which can be viewed online. He also published the article –

Jeff Levine, doctoral candidate, recently published the article –

  • Levine, J. P. (2016). Board Tensions and Activist Trustees: Current Domestic Cases and Implications for the Enrollment Manager. Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly, 4(1), 35-44.

Daria Pizzuto, doctoral student, was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to spend four months in Chile researching Chile’s authentic children’s literature and its impact on language learning of American children studying Spanish.

Ryan Westman, doctoral student, was elected to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), serving as the Region I Director. N4A is a subsidiary of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). He will serve a two year term in this capacity beginning in June of 2016.

Joshua Wilkin, alumnus, will have a portion of his dissertation quoted in the book, Student Success in Higher Education co-authored by Elaine J. Brzycki and Henry G. Brzycki, expected to be published this summer.
