February 2016: Congratulations!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Katherine C. Aquino, doctoral candidate, was accepted to present, “SSI/SSDI in Postsecondary Education: Higher Education Institutional Enrollment Profile” at the 28th Annual Postsecondary Disability Training Institute (PTI). The conference is scheduled for June 2016.

David M. Chapinski, doctoral student, has several recently published works:
– His academic paper, “’The West’ and its discontents: Contemporary challenges to western dominance,” was accepted for presentation and publication to the 46th Annual Conference of the International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations at Monmouth University. David plans to attend the conference from June 29-July 2, 2016, chaired by Dr. Laina Farhat-Holzman and directed by David Rosner, President of ISCSC.
– His double-blind reviewed paper, “Managing creative people: Strategies on how to use the diverge/converge technique to dramatically improve academic learning among college students,” was accepted by the International Journal of Arts & Sciences (IJAS)
Conference for Education.  He will present at Harvard University from May 23-27, 2016.

Guillermo A. de Veyga recently defended his dissertation titled “How variances in business school rankings affect enrollment trends and practices.” Dr. Robert Kelchen mentored Guillermo.

Joe Fazari, alumni, has accepted the Director of Administrative Studies position at St. Peter’s University. In his new role, he will teach and develop an administrative studies program across multiple disciplines in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Components include developing a curriculum, building community partnerships, and overseeing internships.

Dr. Eunyoung Kim, Taghreed A. Alhaddab, alumnus, Katherine C. Aquino, and Reema Negi, doctoral candidates, had an article accepted for publication by the Journal of International Students:

Jeff Levine, doctoral candidate, had an article accepted to be published in an upcoming issue of American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officer’s Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly Journal titled “Board tensions and activist trustees: Current domestic cases and implications for the enrollment manager.”
