February 2015: Recent Faculty Accomplishments

Dr. Robert Kelchen

– Dr. Kelchen was recently selected as an Emerging Education Policy Scholar by the Fordham Institute and the American Enterprise Institute. With this honor, Dr. Kelchen will discuss key education policy issues and receive professional development at the Scholar Retreats held in Washington later this year.

– Additionally, Dr. Kelchen published the following:

Dr. Eunyoung Kim

– Dr. Kim and co-author Michael Dooney, recent graduate of the HRED doctoral program, recently published a book chapter “Technology and social media: Innovations and implications of college admissions and recruitment” in International perspectives in higher education admission policy: A reader (Peter Lang Publishing).

Dr. Carolyn Sattin-Bajaj

– Dr. Sattin-Bajaj recently presented as part of a symposium, titled, “The Rewards and Challenges of Exercising Parental School Choice at the 4th Annual International Conference on School Choice and Reform on January 17th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Dr. Joseph Stetar

– Dr. Stetar and co-author Modi Li, a graduate student at Peking University, recently published the article, “Is America’s 100,000 Strong China Initiative anaemic?” in University World News (Issue No. 344)
