The American Psychological Association is inviting psychologists to spend a year in Washington, DC and apply their expertise to public policy for a 2019-2020 fellowship!

The APA Congressional Fellowship places a psychologist on Capitol Hill for one year and they work as a special legislative assistant in a House or Senate Office. The invited psychologist will be involved in drafting legislation, writing speeches, meeting constituents and conducting background research.

The APA Executive Branch Science Fellowship places a psychological scientist as a special assistant in a federal agency working on science policy and research administration for one year. The placement is catered to the applicant’s expertise and some past placements have included the National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, and the Department of Justice and more.
