New and experienced investigators are invited to attend the first of our grants workshops on Wednesday February 21, 2018 in the Chancellor’s Suite, University Center.  To accommodate teaching schedules, sessions will be offered in the morning (8:30 – 10:00 AM) and afternoon (2:30 – 4:00 PM).  This first workshop will be focused on the basic lifecycle of a proposal, from conception to submission and funding.  It will include brief presentations from each of the main Grant Team offices followed by open discussion, questions and answers.  This is a unique opportunity to meet with the full Grants Team in one session and our external consultant, Laura Lay, Principal and Director of Grants with Winning Strategies Washington.  The planned agenda follows below.

Proposal Life Cycle and Introductions – Nicholas Snow

Working with Governmental Sponsors – Fahim Abedrabbo

Preparing Proposals in the New grants.gov Workspace – Franklin Williams

Preparing Winning Federal Proposals – Laura Lay, Winning Strategies, Washington

Corporate and Foundation Proposals – Jennifer Kosakowski

Budgeting and Fiscal Considerations – Brenda Dunlop
