The PMI seeks proposals for research funding on any topic related to project, program and portfolio management (PPPM). Scholars can be from a wide variety of fields, including management, organizational psychology, sociology, education, linguistics and others. PMI also encourages research proposals involving multi-disciplinary teams of investigators or teams consisting of academics and practitioners who bring new ways of thinking and related bodies of literature to the field. Proposals should either involve:

  • Translational research, which may include an evidence-based study of existing research or evidence-building research, or
  • Unique theory-building research or the integration of existing theories to form an interpretative framework for PPPM.
