The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing is requesting applications for cultural exchange programs that will provide Chinese audiences with the opportunity to experience U.S. culture and the arts. Possible proposals include, but are not limited to:

  • Exhibitions of U.S. visual arts, artworks, crafts and similar creations whether through the exchange of pictures, videos, or the artworks themselves
  • Performing arts programming representing the broad range of  U.S. performing arts including music, dance, and drama
  • Educational programs that incorporate American arts and culture into classroom or other educational outreach programs
  • The participation of American artists, musicians, performers and filmmakers in Chinese cultural festivals
  • Bilateral collaboration projects featuring participation by both Chinese and American artists or performers

The award period is 12 months and grants cannot exceed $50,000. Applications are due February 25, 2013. For more information, see the link below:
