The NHPRC provides support to projects that will increase the capacity of archivists and archival repositories to create electronic records archives that preserve records of enduring historical value. Projects should not digitize historical records. Proposals can be:

  • Start-up Projects – Develop the capacity of institutions to prepare to capture and preserve electronic records through program planning
  • Collaborative projects – Establish and/or improve electronic records archives by engaging in effective and innovative collaborations
  • Electronic Records Professional Development projects – Develop and offer professional education curricula, basic and advanced institutes, or research seminars

Grants are typically for one to three years and up to $200,000. Applications are due June 11, 2013 (with an optional draft deadline of April 1, 2013. For more information, see the link below:
