This joint National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute program stimulates research that evaluates the effect of care planning on cancer survivors’ health and psychosocial outcomes. Research should specifically:

  • Develop and test metrics for evaluating the impact of survivorship care planning
  • Identify the impact of survivorship care planning on cancer survivors’ morbidity, self-management, adherence to care recommendations, utilization of follow-up care and on systems outcomes
  • Identify models and processes of care that promote effective survivorship care planning

Awards last for up to five years and should reflect the needs of the project. Applications are due February 5, 2013. For more information, see the link below:
