This National Endowment for the Humanities Program is designed to fund the implementation of innovative digital humanities projects. Projects may include, but are not limited to:

  • Studies that examine the implications of emerging technologies in the humanities
  • Implementation of new digital tools for humanities research
  • Efforts to ensure the completion and long-term sustainability of humanities resources
  • Implementation of computationally-based methods or techniques in humanities research

Projects must have already completed a start-up phase, make digital innovations significant to the humanities, and include a sustainability plan (discussing long term-support for the project) and a data management plan (discussing how research data will be preserved).
